I must say that I have always been leery about attorneys in general and would rather spend days trying to find info online than I would call an attorney. I am not saying that I have a brand new outlook on the profession, however... I recently found myself in desperate need of REAL legal advice and nothing less. I spent an entire day (unfortunately it was New Year's Day) emailing or leaving messages with several attorneys. I came to Mr. Kurtz's info on my list very first thing this morning and sent a brief message as I didn't want to spend the day writing an email explaining the details of my issue. So I made it short and to the point because, at this point, I wasn't confident that I would be hearing from anyone until the next new year. I pressed send on the message and was moving on to the next name on the list. I kid you not, less than 15 minutes later I get a phone call. Not from a secretary, paralegal, or receptionist that has a prepared script ready to rattle off. To my sincere shock, the voice on the other end of the line was THE same person whose name is the firm's name!! Not only was I surprised, but I was also nervously shaking and it wasn't just my Parkinson's. However, he immediately put me at ease with a calm, non-judgmental, empathetic tone that made me feel like I was speaking with an old friend!! I explained my situation to him and clenched my jaws in anticipation of the amount of money he was going to tell me to give him before he told me what he thought. Instead of blurting out a number with more zeros than I could keep up with, he immediately proved that I was wrong about my assumption on attorneys. He calmly explained to me what I should do next and it wasn't just a broad explanation that he has told numerous folks who call with questions; it was honest legal advice directed to me and my unique situation. I have to say, that here I am writing a novel of a review after I hung up the phone over an hour ago because I am so blown away and impressed with Mr. Kurtz. So much so, that I still don't know how much it will cost for representation because he never once mentioned compensation!! I am writing this because I know there are others that are in dire need of legal help and they feel like they are in a hopeless situation, I know I was feeling that same way. Not any longer. I am feeling very confident because I just found the ONLY attorney I will ever use, or recommend to others. Please don't waste another valuable moment debating whether to call one of the dudes on TV telling you that they are solid members of the community that genuinely care. You can easily find that out one of several ways, you can accidentally bump into one of the big lawyers' Mercedes Benz doors and see how much they are genuinely decent people. Good luck with that by the way! Or you can do what I will do from this day forward. Call Robert Kurtz first before you contact anyone else! You will thank me for it, I promise!
